Manchester, NH- Merchantsauto.com Stadium, home of the Double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats, has been named the Most Vegetarian-Friendly Minor League Ballpark for the second consecutive year by the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), topping the list of 185 Minor League-affiliated stadiums.
"We strive to provide our fans with a wide variety of fresh and creative menu items, and winning this award for a second straight year validates our goal of satisfying those unique tastes," said New Hampshire Fisher Cats President/General Manager Rick Brenner. "We want to thank PETA for recognizing the efforts of both the Fisher Cats and our concessionaire, Centerplate."
In recognizing Merchantsauto.com Stadium's vegetarian-friendliness, PETA acclaimed the ballpark's fresh offering of grilled veggie burgers, veggie dogs, vegetable wraps, portobello mushroom cap salads, grilled vegetable sandwiches, various salads, portobello sandwiches and veggie sausage.
"We are honored that PETA has once again chosen us as the most Vegetarian-Friendly park in Minor League Baseball," said Centerplate General Manager of Food and Beverage Matt Yale. "We are proud to offer veggie burgers, tofu dogs, various salads and other made-to-order items that complement the traditional ballpark fare of hot dogs and chicken tenders."

The Fisher Cats return to Merchantsauto.com Stadium on Tuesday, June 16, to open a three-game series against the Akron Aeros, Double-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, at 7:05pm.
