Chesapeake Baysox News Release
BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie Baysox will terrify fans during Face Your Fears Friday at Prince George's Stadium, as the Baysox take on the Altoona Curve Friday, July 10, at 7:05 p.m. The team will horrify fans with spiders, reptiles, heights, and clowns.
"I hate it," said Brandan Kaiser, director of marketing. "We came up with it as a way to scare our interns, we never thought it would turn in to an actual event."
Cha Cha the clown and her friends will be roaming the stadium and Wildlife Adventures from Jarrettsville, Md. will terrorize fans with spiders, reptiles, insects and snakes at their display.
"I do not like clowns," said Lauren Phillips, director of promotions. "We do a lot of fun contests between innings, but they will be a lot harder to do when I'm running from Cha Cha."
Fans afraid of heights will be encouraged to steer clear of the rock wall in the stadium parking lot. If fans are unsure of exactly what they are afraid of, definitions of various fears will be displayed throughout the stadium.
The Baysox 17th season as the class AA affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles is underway! Check out www.baysox.com to see all that's going on at the stadium this year, and don't miss a moment of the action as the Baysox attempt to bring home their first Eastern League championship.
