
Blair County Ballparkto Host PIAA Baseball Championships

ALTOONA, Pa - The Altoona Curve (AA - Pittsburgh Pirates) and beautiful Blair County Ballpark, will once again play host the PIAA Boys Baseball Championship games on Friday, June 12.
All four classifications are scheduled to compete on Friday. Saturday is reserved as a rain date, in case of inclement weather.
Below is a list of the scheduled start times and the competing teams in each classification:
10:00 A.M. Class AAA Championship
Abington Heights vs. Chartiers Valley
1:00 P.M. Class A Championship
Camp Hill vs. Serra Catholic
4:30 P.M. Class AAAA Championship
Parkland vs. North Penn
7:00 P.M. Class AA Championship
Brandywine vs. South Fayette
"We are delighted to once again host the PIAA State Baseball Championships at Blair County Ballpark," said Altoona Curve General Manager Rob Egan. "With spacious dugouts, indoor batting cages, full bullpens, and a brand new, state-of-the-art playing field, we're confident the players and coaches will have a 'big league' experience. The family, friends, and fans of the schools will enjoy the sight lines, full-feature video board, and terrific food as part of their memorable experience at BCB."
Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for students and are good for all four games. Ample, convenient parking is available in the Blair County Ballpark VIP lot.
Fans will also be able to enjoy the delicious, affordable ballpark fare they would find at Curve home games. Outside food and beverage is prohibited, as is the consumption of alcohol. Any fans found engaging in the consumption of alcohol before, during or after the game in or around the ballpark premises (including parking lots) will be subject to ejection from the site.
All four games will be telecast on Saturday across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania on PCN (Pennsylvania Cable Network).
