Nashville Recalls Pivko

Nashville Predators' Executive Vice President/General Manager David Poile announced the recall today of left wing Libor Pivko from the Milwaukee Admirals. Pivko will be available for the Predators tonight when they take on the Mighty Ducks at the Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim.

The Admirals recalled defenseman Nathan Lutz from the Rockford IceHogs to fill the spot vacated by Pivko. Lutz, 25, played one game for the Admirals before being reassigned to the IceHogs. Lutz has garnered five points (2g-3a) and 16 penalty minutes in 10 games for Rockford.

Pivko, 23, has seven points, including three goals in 13 games with the Admirals this season and ranks among team leaders with a +5.

The 6'2", 206 pound native of the Czech Republic was drafted by the Predators in the third round of the 2000 NHL Draft and was signed on June 25, 2003. He has played parts of the last five seasons in the Czech Republic Extraleague. Last season, Pivko tied for second on Zlin in goals (13) and tied for fourth in points (13g-12a-25pts)in 52 games.
