Nailers to Give Away Gold Ball Caps on March 15th
February 4, 2014 - ECHL (ECHL)
Wheeling Nailers News Release
WHEELING, WV- The Wheeling Nailers, proud ECHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins and Montreal Canadiens, have announced one change and one addition to the 2013-14 promotional schedule. The youth hockey stick giveaway, which was originally scheduled for March 14th, has been moved to March 1st. In addition, the March 15th game will now feature a gold ball cap giveaway.
On Saturday, March 1st, the Nailers will host their fifth and final McDonald's FANtastic Night of the 2013-14 season, and they are doubling up the promotions for that game, when the team plays host to the Reading Royals. As part of the original schedule, Wheeling will welcome WWE Hall of Famer Jerry "The King" Lawler for an appearance. Along with that, the first 1,000 kids in attendance that night will receive a free youth hockey stick, courtesy of Main Street Bank. Finally, as is the case with all McDonald's FANtastic Nights, fans can purchase a FANtastic Family Four Pack, consisting of four tickets, four hats, and four McDonald's Value Meal Coupons for $54.
Two weeks later, on Saturday, March 15th, Wheeling will play host to the Cincinnati Cyclones, as part of OVMC/CORE Weekend and the St. Patrick's Day celebration. Green and gold will be the theme of the weekend, as the Nailers will be wearing special St. Patrick's Day jerseys, which were voted on by the fans. In addition, the first 2,500 fans in attendance for the Saturday game will receive a free gold Nailers ball cap, courtesy of H.E. Neumann.
Prior to March, the Nailers will be at home for three more games in February, taking place on the 12th, 14th, and 15th. The 12th will be a WesBanco Winning Wednesday, meaning that if Wheeling wins, fans will be able to exchange their ticket for a ticket to the Sunday, March 2nd game. $5 kids tickets will also be available that night. On the 14th, the Nailers will celebrate Valentine's Day, while also holding a Frosty Friday, in addition to a player poster giveaway to the first 2,500 fans. On the 15th, the first 2,500 fans in attendance will receive a free Clark Donatelli bobblehead, with Clark wearing his Team USA Olympic uniform. The boy scouts will also be in the building that night, for their annual sleepover.
Coming up this weekend, the Wheeling Nailers will be on the road for a pair of games, as they visit the Reading Royals on Saturday at 7:05 and Sunday at 4:05.
