Road Warriors Acquire Emerson Clark from Toledo

Greenville, SC: The Greenville Road Warriors, proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers, announced the team has acquired forward Emerson Clark from the Toledo Walleye for future considerations.

"I am excited to have his enthusiasm and energy in our locker room and on the ice," Head Coach Dean Stork commented. "He is a lead-by-example player who is a good teammate and someone who competes hard in games and in practice."

Clark, 21, has racked up 150 penalty minutes in 25 games played with the Toledo Walleye this season. In addition the rookie forward has tallied four assists. Before his pro career began, Clark played in the Ontario Hockey League where he spent the previous four seasons and maintained over 100 penalty minutes each year. The five-foot-ten, 180 pounder currently ranks second in the ECHL in penalty minutes.

The Road Warriors play the South Carolina Stingrays on Friday at 7 p.m. to kick off a key three-game series against the South Division leader. Fans can hear the game by clicking the Listen Live link on the Road Warriors homepage or watch via America One.
