Morin Returns to Rays

North Charleston, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays, ECHL affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League and the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League, announced today that Travis Morin has been sent back to the Stingrays from the Bears.

Morin, 23, was originally called up on Nov. 5 to the Bears where he played two games without recording a point.

Prior to his call-up, the Brooklyn Park, MN native had 13 points (8g, 5a) in just nine games with the Stingrays, including his first career hat trick on Oct. 31. Morin currently is tied for the rookie lead with eight goals and is ranked third with his 13 points. The 6'2", 195-pound left winger was a ninth round pick of the Washington Capitals in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.

The Stingrays return to home ice this Saturday, November 17 at the North Charleston Coliseum for a 7:05 p.m. face-off against the Florida Everblades.
