Lee Called Up To Hartford

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League announced today that Checkers forward, Mark Lee has been recalled.

Lee, the Mount Pearl, Newfoundland native started the year with the Wolf Pack. The 5-foot-11, 187 pound forward suited up in five games and registered one assist during that time. After being loaned to the Checkers, Lee accumulated five points (2 goals, 3 assists) in two games.

Last season, Lee played 59 games for Charlotte while garnering 26 goals and 54 assists for 80 points and was the team's leading scorer. He also netted four points (one goal, three assists) in five playoff games last season. Lee skated in eight games for the Wolf Pack the previous year, contributing two goals and logging six penalty minutes.

The Checkers began their 15th season of play as a member of the ECHL. The next home game takes place on Nov. 16 against the Florida Everblades. In the team's 14-year history, the Checkers have made the playoffs 10 times including three consecutive playoff appearances to date. The Checkers will enter their third season of play at St. Lawrence Homes Home Ice at Charlotte Bobcats Arena this fall. Season tickets are on sale now with full-season packages starting at just $399.
