Cincinnati Cyclones Jersey Auction Nets $5500 For Children's Hospital

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Montreal Canadiens and Nashville Predators, will contribute $5500 to Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, the proceeds of the jersey auction from Saturday's game against Augusta. The club wore the 1970s Cincinnati Stingers yellow jerseys in that game, as 6430 fans witnessed the contest. A total of 23 uniforms were sold on behalf of CCHMC.

Through the weekend, the Cyclones have donated more than $25,000 in goods and services within the Greater Cincinnati area since June. More than 150 man-hours have been donated for appearances also.

"It was great to have that crowd out for Saturday's game and the auction," U.S. Bank Arena Vice-President Kristin Ropp said. "Being able to be involved with the community like we have and working with Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is something we can be proud of."

Tickets for the 2007-08 Cincinnati Cyclones season are now on sale. Ticket packages start as low as $66, call the Cyclones at 513-421-PUCK (7825) for more details. Rich Franklin Night comes to U.S. Bank Arena on Friday night when Wheeling visits. Tomorrow night, Trenton is the guest for another Wet Wednesday. Both games start at 7:30pm.
