Monarchs Sign Westgarth To ATO

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have signed forward Kevin Westgarth to an amateur tryout agreement, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today.

Westgarth, 23, finished his senior year at Princeton University with a personal collegiate-high of 24 points (8-16=24) and 88 penalty minutes in 33 games this season. The 6-foot-4, 235-pound native of Amherstburg, Ontario, is ranked fourth in points (24) and penalty minutes (88), and his 16 assists are tied for first on the Tigers squad for the 2006-07 season. Westgarth recorded a four-year total of 60 points (25-35=60) and 208 penalty minutes in 116 games from 2003-2007 at Princeton University. He will wear No. 27 for the Monarchs.
