
Monarchs Send Bernakevitch And Roussin To Reading

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have loaned left wing Dany Roussin and forward Brendan Bernakevitch to the ECHL's Reading Royals, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today. Bernakevitch, 23, has appeared in 11 games with the Monarchs this season, recording seven points (4-3=7) and two penalty minutes. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound native of Regina, Saskatchewan, played for the Harvard University Crimson the last four years, collecting 65 points (24-41=65) and 38 penalty minutes in 116 career games (2001-05). Bernakevitch signed a one-year contract with the Monarchs on September 27, 2005.
Roussin, 20, has played in 15 games with the Monarchs this season, collecting two points (1-1=2) and six penalty minutes. The 6-foot-2, 196-pound native of Quebec City, Quebec, spent the last three years with the Rimouski Oceanic of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League; registering 271 points (125-146=271) and 205 penalty minutes in 173 games (2002-05). Roussin agreed to a multi-year entry-level contract with the Kings on August 16, 2005.
Manchester travels to Albany to play the River Rats on Tuesday, November 29 at the Pepsi Arena at 7:00 p.m.
