Bergenheim and Smith were inserted into the Islanders' lineup for their Tuesday home game versus the Philadelphia Flyers.
This will be the second tour of duty with the Islanders for Bergenheim, who had one goal, one assist and two points in 18 NHL games early in the 2003-04 season. The Islanders' first pick in the 2002 NHL draft has three goals, eight assists, 11 points and 36 penalty minutes in 20 AHL games with the Sound Tigers this season and has notched 18 goals, 22 assists, 40 points and 105 penalty minutes in 81 career games with Bridgeport.
