Comcast SportsNet to air four Phantoms games

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Phantoms, in conjunction with Comcast SportsNet (CSN), announced today that CSN will televise four Phantoms games during the 2005-06 American Hockey League (AHL) season. CSN will also carry the 2006 Rbk AHL All-Star Classic.

The first telecast will be on Friday, Dec. 30 when the Phantoms host the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. The schedule will continue with telecasts on Friday, Jan. 27 vs. Manitoba and on Sunday, Feb. 12 vs. Springfield. The final telecast features a rematch of the 2005 Calder Cup Finals, as the Phantoms welcome the Chicago Wolves on Friday, Feb. 17. Airtime for all games is 7:00 pm, including the Feb. 12 contest, which will air on a one hour delay from its 6:05 pm faceoff.

Mick Moninghoff will handle the play-by-play for the Dec. 30 telecast, while Philadelphia Flyers radio play-by-play voice Tim Saunders will call the action for the remaining three games. Former Flyers centerman Orest Kindrachuk will return for another season as the Phantoms television color analyst.

"We're thrilled to have the opportunity to bring Phantoms hockey into homes throughout the Delaware Valley," said Phantoms Chief Operating Officer Frank Miceli. "This is a great chance for fans to see future Flyers players and great AHL action from the comfort of their living rooms."

Comcast SportsNet will also air the 2006 Rbk AHL All-Star Classic. The 2006 CCM AHL All-Star Skills Competition will air on tape delay on Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 11 pm. The All-Star Game will air live from the MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba on Feb. 1 at 8 pm.
