Providence, RI - The Providence Bruins announced today they are partnering with Toys for Tots to collect new, unwrapped toys before their home games on Friday, December 9 versus the Lowell Lock Monsters, Sunday, December 11 versus the Springfield Falcons and Friday, December 16 against the Hartford Wolf Pack.

Starting one hour before the games in the lobby of the Dunkin' Donuts Center, Providence Bruin players' wives and girlfriends will be collecting new, unwrapped toys. On Tuesday, December 20 Providence Bruin players will deliver the toys to the local Toys for Tots location.

Through Toys for Tots, U.S. Marines have been bringing the joy of Christmas to America's neediest children each year for the past 57 years. From 1947 through 2004, Marines distributed over 332.5 million toys to more than 158.8 million needy children. One of the goals of the program is to deliver a message of hope that will inspire youngsters to grow into responsible, productive, patriotic citizens and community leaders.

This year Marines are conducting the 58th annual Toys for Tots campaign. In addition to striving to reach millions of needy children nationwide, Marines will strive to bring the joy of Christmas to the thousands of children whose families lost everything as a result of the hurricanes of the summer of 2005.

The P-Bruins return home to the Dunkin' Donuts Center for two games this weekend. The P-Bruins host the Springfield Falcons on Friday, December 2 at 7:05 p.m. and the Lowell Lock Monsters on Sunday, December 4 at 4:05 p.m. Tickets are available for all Providence Bruins home games online at providencebruins.com, at the Dunkin' Donuts Center box office and at all TicketMaster outlets.
