Monarchs Release Two Players From Camp

MANCHESTER, NH – The Manchester Monarchs, the AHL affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have announced the following player transactions: Released from Monarchs training camp: Jon Insana - Defense; Terry Denike - Goaltender

The Monarchs have 26 players remaining on their 2003 training camp roster (15 forwards, eight defensemen and three goaltenders).

The Monarchs (0-1-0-0 in exhibition play) resume their exhibition schedule when they travel to Winter Garden Arena in Ridgefield, Connecticut, to face the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on Saturday, October 4 at 4:00 p.m.

The Monarchs close their 2003 exhibition schedule when they host the Portland Pirates at the Salem ICEnter in Salem, New Hampshire, on Sunday, October 5 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets for the game in Salem may be purchased for $8.00 at the Salem ICEnter, or through the Salem Youth Hockey Association.

The Monarchs open their third AHL season at the Verizon Wireless Arena against the Worcester IceCats on Friday, October 10 at 7:35 p.m. They will also host the Lowell Lock Monsters on Saturday, October 11 at 7:35 p.m. and the Portland Pirates on Wednesday, October 15 at 7:05 p.m. For individual or season ticket information, visit the Monarchs on-line at www.monarchshockey.com or call (603) 626-7825.
