
Bears Roster Trimmed by Four

HERSHEY â The HERSHEY BEARS announced today that the club has released four players from 2003 training camp. The announcement was made jointly by BEARS head coach Paul Fixter and HERSHEY President/General Manager Doug Yingst.
Released today were defenseman B.J. Heckendorn, defenseman Ian Turner, right wing Brent Gauvreau, and center Sylvain Deschatelets. Training camp roster now stands 31 players, with the NHL waiver draft to be held tomorrow.
The BEARS will play two home exhibition games this weekend at GIANT Center, Tickets for both home exhibition games on Saturday, October 4 and Sunday, October 5 will be $7. As in previous years, all parking will be free for both the Saturday game against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Sunday's game with Binghamton.
The BEARS open up the home portion of the 2003-04 season on Saturday, October 18th at GIANT Center. Season ticket information is available by calling 520-5796. Several different season ticket plans are available. Group ticket information for the October 18th home opener and all Bears home games is available by calling 534-3323. Ticket information is also available for the NHL exhibition game between the Philadelphia Flyers and the New York Islanders on Thursday, October 2nd at GIANT Center.
