
Norfolk Signs on with WJOI-AM-1230

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. â The Norfolk Admirals announced today that the organization's flagship radio station for the 2003-04 season will be WJOI AM-1230. A member of the Tidewater Communications radio group that includes WAFX 106.9 The Fox and FM-99 WNOR, WJOI AM-1230 will air all 80 regular season Admirals games for the 2003-2004 campaign.
"We are very proud to partner with WJOI and make AM-1230 the home of Admirals hockey on the radio," said Todd McKeating, Norfolk's Director of Operations. "Tidewater Communications has been a long-time friend of Admirals hockey and its supporters. We're as happy as we know our fans will be with this new partnership.
"We are thrilled to become a part of the Admirals' organization," stated Dave Paulus, President and General Manager of Tidewater Communications. "The Admirals are synonymous with great hockey. We are certainly looking forward to a successful 2003-04 campaign.
In addition to airing their games on WJOI AM-1230, the Admirals will continue to cybercast all games next season on the World Wide Web through SportsJuice.com.
Individual tickets for all of Norfolk's 40 home games of the 2003-04 schedule are on sale now through Scope's Box Office, all TicketMaster outlets, charge-by-phone at (757) 671-8100 an online at www.ticketmaster.com.
2003-04 season tickets as well as 10- and 20-game plans are now on sale.
