
Penguins Assign 12 Players to Wheeling

WILKES-BARRE, PA. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have reduced their training camp roster today by assigning 12 players to their ECHL affiliate, the Wheeling Nailers.
Following are the 12 players that have been assigned to Wheeling's training camp: Forwards Jim Abbott, Brandon Doria, Jean-Francois DuFour, Jason Jaffray, Mark Kosick, Jacques Lariviere, Mike Lephart, Martin Paquet and J.C. Ruid; defensemen Jake Ortmeyer and T.J. Reynolds; and goaltender Nick Boucher.
With the roster moves, the Penguins now have 26 players (15 forwards, nine defenseman and two goaltenders) in camp. An updated training camp roster will follow this release.
The Penguins will conclude their four-game preseason schedule this weekend with two games against the Hershey Bears. The Penguins will host Hershey tomorrow night at 7:05 p.m. and then close out the preseason slate against the Bears on Saturday at Hershey's Giant Center (7 p.m. start). There are approximately 729 tickets still available for tomorrow night's game.
Individual game tickets for the Penguins' 2003-04 season are now on sale and can be purchased at the Wachovia Arena Box Office and all Ticketmaster locations and telephone outlets.

The Penguins open the regular season on Wednesday, October 8 against the Norfolk Admirals at 7:05 p.m. at Wachovia Arena at Casey Plaza.
