
Monarchs Recall Fukufuji From Reading

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have recalled goaltender Yutaka Fukufuji from the ECHL's Reading Royals, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today.
Fukufuji, 24, has appeared in 10 games with the Royal so far this season collecting a record of 3-3-0, a goals-against-average of 3.19 and a save-percentage of .898 in 451 minutes of playing time. The 6-foot-1, 186-pound native of Tokyo, Japan, played in two games with the Monarchs during the 2005-06 season registering a 1-1-0 record, a 3.00 goals-against-average and a .923 save-percentage. Fukufuji was selected by the Kings in the eighth-round (238th overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
The Monarchs will host the Springfield Falcons for the first time this season on Friday, December 1 with a 7:35 p.m. face-off.
