Devils to announce mascot's name

The Lowell Devils will reveal the name of their new mascot at this Saturday's game, when they host the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at the Tsongas Arena. Game time is 7:05 p.m.
The Devils held a "Name The Mascot" contest at the beginning of the season at home games and on the team's official website, www.lowelldevilshockey.com. The selected winner will get two season tickets for the remainder of the 2006-07 season, and take the ice during the name unveiling ceremony.
The Devils will also be on home ice this Sunday afternoon, when they battle the Springfield Falcons at 4:05 p.m. After the game on Sunday there will be a public skate on the Tsongas Arena ice, free for everyone in attendance, courtesy of Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union. A limited number of skates are available at no charge, or fans may bring their own.
