GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Grand Rapids Griffins on Thursday released defenseman Philippe Plante from his professional tryout.
After signing with the Griffins on Wednesday, Plante went scoreless with two penalty minutes in last night's 3-2 shootout loss to Hamilton. He returns to the UHL's Muskegon Fury, for whom he's contributed five goals and 27 points in 20 games this season.
