Rivermen to Host Christian Concert, Teddy Bear Toss This Weekend

Peoria, IL (November 30, 2006) - The Peoria Rivermen, proud primary affiliate of the NHL's St. Louis Blues and member of the American Hockey League (AHL), will host a post-game Christian Concert after the team's game against the Iowa Stars on Friday, December 1 at 7:00 p.m., and on Sunday, December 3, at 4:00 p.m., when Peoria hosts the Houston Aeros, all fans are encouraged to bring a stuffed animal to the game to throw on to the ice when the Rivermen score their first goal of the game.

On Friday, December 1, the Live Love Tour, headlined by Superchic[K] with Sanctus Real, Johnny Reuben and Last Tuesday, will perform in a two-hour, post-game concert. In addition, it's a Coca-Cola/Insight Date Night. Fans may receive two (2) Upper Bowl Center tickets, two (2) Cokes and a TUB of popcorn for just $35 ($5 per ticket up-charge with concert). Rob Robinson cards will be handed out to the first 2,500 fans as part of the 25 Greatest Rivermen of All-Time, presented by U.S. Cellular. Robinson will be on hand to sign autographs and interact with fans.

On Sunday, December 3, the Rivermen welcome the Houston Aeros to Carver Arena at 4:00 p.m. It is an Insight Family Day, on which families receive four (4) Upper Bowl Tickets, four (4) Hot Dogs, four (4) Cokes, and four (4) Chips for just $38 (a $70 value). Fans are encouraged to bring a stuffed animal to throw on to the ice when the Rivermen score their first goal of the game as part of the Teddy Bear Toss to benefit area needy at Christmastime. Jim Vesey cards will be handed out to the first 2,500 fans as part of the 25 Greatest Rivermen of All-Time, presented by U.S. Cellular.
