Monarchs Recall Brust

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have recalled goaltender Barry Brust from the ECHL's Reading Royals, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today.

Brust, 22, has appeared in six games for the Royals this season, compiling a record of 3-3-0, a goals-against-average of 3.00 and a save-percentage of .906. The 6-foot-2, 216-pound native of Swan River, Manitoba, was assigned to the Royals on November 21 after starting the 2005-06 season with the Monarchs. Brust collected a record of 4-1-1, a goals-against-average of 2.55 and a save-percentage of .923 in Manchester before his assignment to Reading.

The Monarchs face-off with the Atlantic Division leading Portland Pirates at 7:05 p.m. at the Cumberland County Civic Center on Friday, December 23.
