Columbus Recalls Johnson

The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled defenseman Aaron Johnson.

Johnson, 22, has appeared in 26 games with Syracuse this season, recording 3 goals, 16 assists and 54 penalty minutes. In two games with Columbus earlier this season, Johnson tallied one goal and seven penalty minutes. In

152 career AHL games, all with Syracuse, Johnson has registered 15 goals, 48 assists and 277 penalty minutes. A native of Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia, Johnson was selected by Columbus in the third round, 85th overall, in the 2001 Entry Draft.

The Crunch travel to Rochester on Thursday, December 22 for a 7:05 p.m. contest. Crunch action can be heard with play-by-play announcer Bob McElligott on SportsRadio 620 WHEN or through B2 Networks on the Crunch's website at www.syracusecrunch.com. On Friday, December 23, Syracuse hosts Albany for a 7:30 p.m. match-up.
