Bulldogs Looking to Make Mark in W Column Tonight Vs Barons

The Hamilton Bulldogs (11-19-0-2) will look to get back in the win column tonight when they face the Cleveland Barons (13-19-1-1). The ‘Dogs trail the sixth place Barons by four points in the North Division and have dropped two of three meetings to Cleveland this season. This is the first visit to Cleveland in 2005-06 for Hamilton, as all three of the games played between these two teams have taken place at Copps Coliseum. The next meeting between Hamilton and Cleveland will take place on Friday, March 3, in Cleveland.

BULLDOGS NOTES - C Corey Locke and LW Michael Lambert each have posted three goals and an assist in three games against Cleveland this season.

- The Bulldogs claimed forward Lucas Lawson off waivers from the Syracuse Crunch on December 19. Lawson started the season in Finland, where he recorded ten points (one goal, nine assists) in 24 games.

- G Yann Danis and RW Andrei Kostitsyn were assigned to the Bulldogs on Wednesday, December 21. Both players were recalled by Montreal on December 19. Kostitsyn played in the Canadiens 4-3 (SO) win on December 20, while Danis served as back up goaltender that night to former ‘Dogs netminder Cristobal Huet.

ALUMNI NOTES - Five former Bulldogs found the scoresheet for Edmonton in the Oilers 7-6 win over the Vancouver Canucks last night. Shawn Horcoff and Raffi Torres each scored a goal, while Jarret Stoll, Marc-Andre Bergeron and Fernando Pisani drew assists.

- Canadiens LW Pierre Dagenais scored his second shoot-out winning goal of the season on Tuesday, December 20 (4-3 W) over the Ottawa Senators.

- Montreal RW Michael Ryder had a goal and an assist against the Senators.

BULLDOGS HOST ROCHESTER TOMORROW The Bulldogs return to action tomorrow, Friday, December 23, when they host the Rochester Americans at Copps Coliseum. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
