WHERE WE STAND

The Monarchs enter the weekend against the Reading Royals tied for 1st place in the North Division with the Adirondack Thunder, as both teams have accumulated 17 points thus far into the season. Entering tonight's game, the Monarchs sit in 2nd place the Eastern Conference, trailing the red-hot Florida Everblades who have posted 21 points and a 10-0-1-0 record.

LEADING THE WAY

Joey Diamond and Daniel Ciampini are currently tied for the team lead with 13 points on the season. Diamond, along with Cory Ward share the team lead in goals with six, while defenseman Justin Agosta leads the team in assists on the season with nine.

DIDN'T WE JUST SEE YOU?

After meeting twice in the past six days, and already three times this season, Manchester and Reading will square off twice more this weekend on Friday and Saturday. All three games this season have gone to the Monarchs by a combined score of 15-6. The 3-0 record the Monarchs hold over the Royals is in stark contrast to last season when Reading won the season series, 6-4, one of only two teams the Monarchs didn't have a winning record against.

LIGHTING THE LAMP

Through 13 games, the Monarchs rank 3rd in the ECHL with 3.85 goals per game. Their 50 goals is the most of any team in the North Division and is good for second best in the conference, only behind Atlanta, who has 61 goals through 16 games.

A PLUS

Justin Agosta currently leads the ECHL in plus-minus with a +16 rating. Agosta has recorded a positive rating in his past seven games for a +12 during that time and ranks 4th in points for defenseman with 12 (3g, 9a). Over the course of the season, Agosta has only been a dash player twice.

PLAYING LIKE ROOKIES?

Justin Gutierrez (8th), Cory Ward(12th) and Quentin Shore(13th) all rank in the top 15 in rookie scoring this season. Gutierrez (3g, 8a) ranks 4th among rookies in assists, while Ward (6g,3a) ranks 5th among rookies in goals scored.
