Quad City Mallards News Release

MOLINE, Ill. - The celebration of the Quad City Mallards' twentieth season continues with the unveiling this weekend of a commemorative publication recognizing twenty players of special significance in team history.

The limited edition commemorative magazine will go sale for the first time at the Mallards' game tomorrow night at 7:05 p.m. against the Wheeling Nailers at the iWireless Center. The publication will be available for $10 at Mallards home games- including Sunday's 4:05 p.m. rematch with Wheeling- while supplies last.

"We're thrilled to spotlight players who played such major roles in the success of the Mallards over the years and who have provided so many great memories for the fans of the Quad Cities," said Mallards president Bob McNamara. "This group and so many others helped lay the foundations for the success the Mallards still enjoy today."

The twenty players featured were chosen for their significance in Mallards history; they are not necessarily the twenty greatest players in team history. A panel of journalists including sportswriters who have covered the team at every point from its inception in 1995 until today joined with Mallards staff in producing the final list of twenty players.

The celebration of the Mallards' milestone season will continue throughout the campaign and will be highlighted by alumni weekend. Mallards of the past will be welcomed back to the Quad Cities January 13 and January 14. Mallards alumni will be introduced before the Flock's Friday, January 13 clash with the Indy Fuel and will meet and renew acquaintances with fans during that game. The following afternoon, former Mallards will return to the iWireless Center ice for an alumni game before the current edition of the Mallards meets the Fort Wayne Komets that evening.

Single game tickets for all Mallards regular season home games- including this weekend's games- are on sale now at the iWireless Center box office, Ticketmaster outlets, ticketmaster.com and Ticketmaster charge-by-phone toll free at 1-800-745-3000 . The box office is open weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
