HEAD-TO-HEAD - The Monarchs and Jackals will clash for the eighth time this season, with Manchester holding a 4-2-0-1 record against their divisional rivals. The last time these two teams met (Feb. 7), the Jackals came out on top with a 5-4 victory at the Verizon Wireless Arena. The Monarchs hold the scoring edge in this series, outscoring Elmira 24-15, averaging 4.5 goals in their four victories. Elmira comes to the Queen City 4-3-2-1 in their last 10 games while the Monarchs stand at 7-3-0-0 in their last 10.

WHERE WE STAND - The Monarchs (69 points) remain in first place in the East, standing six points ahead of the Adirondack Thunder. Elmira checks in with 58 points, good for third in the division and eighth in the conference. The Monarchs find themselves looking up at Florida for the top spot in the Eastern Conference, trailing the Everblades by one point.

"SPECIAL" TEAMS - Although the Jackals boast the 21st ranked power play (15.0%) and penalty kill (80.5%) units overall, their production on both sides of the man-advantage on the road has been much better. On the road, the Jackals are converting on19.6% of their man-advantages (7th) and killing at 84% (13th).

LEITING IT UP - Rookie forward, Matt Leitner, has been on a tear of late, scoring points in four consecutive games, posting eight points on two goals and six assists. With his strong play, Leitner finds himself tied for 2nd in rookie scoring with 47 points and tied for 1st with 35 helpers.

INSTANT IMPACT -Zach Leslie notched his first professional goal last night in his 22nd career game. The 2013 sixth-round draft pick of the L.A. Kings was assigned to the Monarchs prior to the game by the big club.

FILLING THE NET - The Monarchs are 3rd in the ECHL in goals per game, averaging 3.19 goals/game while Elmira averages 2.72/game, 21st in the league. Manchester is allowing 2.77 goals/game, good for 12th in the league while Elmira is giving up 3.04 goals/game, 19th in the ECHL.

WIN/LOSE AFTER TWO - The Monarchs and Jackals boast nearly flawless records when leading after two periods, with Manchester posting a 20-0-0-2 record when taking the lead into the third period and Elmira sporting an 18-0-1-1 record. The Monarchs hold the advantage coming back in the final frame playing to a league leading 8-11-1-1 record while the Jackals are only 2-22-2-0.

THE STREAK - Maxim Kitsyn continues to ride a point streak, scoring in 11-straight games. During the streak that started on Jan. 24, Kitsyn has posted six goals and seven assists and a +8 rating. Kitsyn has also scored in 17-of-18 games stretching back to Jan. 6, scoring 11 goals and 11 assists in that span and a +17 rating.
