BRAMPTON, ON - Matt White scored two points for the second consecutive night, but the Manchester Monarchs couldn't win the three-game weekend-series with the Brampton Beast, falling 4-2 Sunday afternoon at the Powerade Centre in Brampton, Ontario.

The Monarchs (3-4-0-0) have now split four games with the Beast (3-6-1-0) this season, with two games remaining between the teams.

The Monarchs got on the board first with White picking up where he left off Saturday night, scoring his 3rd goal of the season at 5:56 of the first period. White fired a wrist shot from below the right face-off dot, and beat Beast goalie, Trevor Cann, from the tight angle. Stefan Legein and Alex Roach recorded assists on the goal.

Brampton fought back while on the man-advantage to tie the score up at 1-1, when Bryan McGregor potted his 2nd goal of the season. A short cycle on the power play led to an uncontested chance right in front of Monarchs goalie, Colin Stevens, and McGregor tapped the puck into the net at 9:34.

The Beast added their second power-play goal of the period at 12:19, when Mathew Maione scored his 3rd goal of the season. Brampton passed the puck around the perimeter of the offensive zone until Mark MacMillan sent a diagonal pass through the Monarchs defense to find a wide open Maione, who tipped the puck past Stevens to give the Beast a 2-1 lead.

After a scoreless second period, Brampton extended their lead when Reggie Tracitto scored his 1st goal of the season on a blast from the right point that beat Stevens high glove side, at 3:56 of the third period.

The Monarchs would cut into the Brampton lead late, when David Kolomatis notched his 2nd goal of the season on the power play at 18:40. Kolomatis took a saucer pass from White above the left circle, and unloaded a one-time slap shot, beating Cann high blocker.

Manchester pressured hard with Stevens pulled for an extra attacker, but was thwarted when Angelo Miceli sealed the victory with an empty-net-goal with 0.4 seconds remaining.

The Monarchs are back in action Tuesday, Nov. 10 (7 p.m.), when they travel to Kalamazoo, Mich., to face the Kalamazoo Wings for the first time in franchise history.
