MANCHESTER, N.H. - Manchester Monarchs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations, Rich Seeley, announced that Yann Sauvé has been recalled from loan by the Stockton Heat (AHL).

Sauvé, 26, played in 52 games with the Monarchs earlier in the season after being loaned to Manchester by the Portland Pirates (AHL), and scored 29 points on seven goals and 22 assists. Sauvé was recalled by Portland and then traded to Stockton on March 7, and played in three games with the Heat without recording a point. On his most recent loan to the Monarchs, Sauvé played in one game without recording a point.

The 6-foot-3, 212-pound left-shot defenseman from Montreal, Quebec has played in 226 career AHL games, scoring eight goals and 37 points, as well as 105 career ECHL games, scoring 19 goals and 35 assists. Sauvé was a second round pick of the Vancouver Canucks (#41 overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, and was the #1 overall selection by the Saint John Sea Dogs in the 2006 QMJHL Entry Draft. In his career, Sauvé has played in eight NHL games.

The Monarchs are back in action tonight (7 p.m.), when they host the Adirondack Thunder in the final home game of the regular season, on Fan Appreciation Night, sponsored by Energy North.
