Opening Day Preview

On Thursday, May 20 the Lynx open the 2004 regular season against the SeattleStorm at KeyArena at 9:00 p.m. CDT. In 2003, the Lynx won three of their fourgames against the Storm. The team's only loss, coming on Aug. 8, ended Minnesota's four-game winning streak over the Storm, cutting the Lynx' lead in the all-time seriesto 8-5.

Seattle will see some familiar faces on the Lynx bench on Thursday -Lynx forwardAmanda Lassiter and forward Stacey Lovelace-Tolbert both previously played forthe Storm (Lassiter in 2002 and 2003 and Lovelace-Tolbert in 2000 and 2001).Minnesota acquired Lassiter via trade with Seattle on April 15 along with a first-round draft pick for Janell Burse and Sheri Sam. Both Burse and Sam are on theStorm's 2004 roster. Lovelace-Tolbert was signed by the Lynx as a free agent.

Preseason Perfection

The Lynx finished their first-ever unbeaten exhibition slate with Saturday's victory over Detroit in Pittsburgh, beating the defending WNBA Champion Detroit Shock for the second time in five days. Katie Smith, Teresa Edwards, Tamika Williams, Amanda Lassiter and Nicole Ohlde were the starting five in all three preseason contests. The Lynx are now 11-8 all-time in exhibitions.

Lynx Re-Launch Website

What better way to kick off the 2004 regular season than with a re-launch of the team's website, www.lynxbasketball.com. A number of new features were added, including exclusive, local and up-to-date content. Additionally, the website includes an integration of media-rich Flash applications, a dynamic game schedule, new player pages, extensive multimedia coverage, enhanced gameday coverage, photo galleries, postgame quotes and video highlights following each game. All features will be available by the end of May.

New Radio Home

This season fans can tune into KLBB-AM 1400/1470 to catch all of the Lynx regular season action. Brian Sieman will return for his third season as the Lynx play-by-play radio voice.
