Thursday, May 20 @ Houston Comets @ Toyota Center (Houston, TX) 7:30 p.m.

Thursday's game vs. the Comets can be heard live on KSJL 810 AM with the "Voice of the Silver Stars" Andrew Monaco calling the action.

Saturday, May 22 vs. Detroit Shock @ SBC Center (San Antonio, TX) 7:00 p.m.

Saturday's game vs, the Shock can be seen on WB-35 with Andrew Monaco providing the play-by-play and Fran Harris adding the color commentary. The game can also be heard on The Ticket 760 AM with Terry Stembridge, Jr. making the calls.

Saturday Night Festivities: This Saturday's game is an Express-News Value Night. Fans can look in the Express-News for a coupon to receive a game ticket, hot dog, soft drink, Creamy Creations ice cream and T-Shirt for only $15. Also, fans that attend Saturday night's game will receive a Silver Stars Magnetic Schedule.

THIS WEEK'S OPPONENTS

Silver Stars/Comets Series: The Silver Stars and the Comets met twice during the preseason with Houston taking both games...in the first preseason meeting Houston edged out the Silver Stars for a 79-72 victory on 5/7 at the Toyota Center...the Comets took the second game as well defeating the Silver Stars 71-54 behind 32 points from Sheryl Swoopes on 5/15 at the SBC Center...overall, San Antonio and Houston have met 25 times during the regular season with the Comets holding a 19-6 advantage in the all-time series...last season the two teams split the season series winning both games on their home courts...this season the Silver Stars and Comets meet four times...San Antonio returns to Houston on 6/9 while the Comets visit the Alamo City on 6/12 and 9/9.

Silver Stars/Shock Series: San Antonio and Detroit made history during the preseason when the two teams squared off in the first ever WNBA game outside of the United States...the Silver Stars and Shock traveled to Monterrey, Mexico on 5/7 where Detroit prevailed 75-57...overall, San Antonio and Detroit have met 11 times during the regular season with the Shock holding a 7-4 advantage in the all-time series...last season the Shock swept the regular season series 2-0...this season the Silver Stars and Shock meet two times during the regular season with Detroit making the trip to San Antonio on 5/22 for the Silver Stars home opener...the Silver Stars make their way to the Motor City on 7/18.

LAST WEEK'S GAMES

Silver Stars 54, Comets 51 @ SBC Center (6,422): San Antonio and Houston met for the second time during the preseason with the same outcome, a Comets win, 74-51...the Comets, who played without starters Tina Thompson and Michelle Snow, were led by a dominating performance by Sheryl Swoopes who tallied 32 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists...Margo Dydek played in her first preseason game and led the Silver Stars with 14 points...San Antonio opened up an 18-12 lead midway through the first half, but Houston came roaring back to lead 31-24 going into the locker rooms at half...the Comets opened up the second half with a 13-6 run to increase their lead to 44-30...San Antonio answered with a 20-7 run to cut the deficit to a point, 50-51, but the Comets closed out the game with a 20-4 run behind the clutch shooting of Swoopes...Houston dominated the glass out rebounding San Antonio 35-17...the Silver Stars played aggressive defensively coming up with 13 steals...Marie Ferdinand led the way with 6 steals, all in the second half, and Shannon Johnson added 4.

SILVER STARS NOTES

Silver Stars Announce Change to Radio Broadcast Schedule: "The Ticket" 760 AM will now broadcast 11 Silver Stars games throughout the season. The rest of San Antonio's games can still be heard on the Silver Stars flagship station, KSJL 810 AM. The "Voice of the Silver Stars" Andrew Monaco will still handle the play-by-play action during the broadcasts.

Silver Stars Announce 2004 TV Schedule: KRRT WB-35 will televise eight Silver Stars games this season, four home games and four road games. In addition, three Silver Stars games will be broadcasted nationally on ESPN2 and the Oxygen Network. The "Voice of the Silver Stars" Andrew Monaco will handle the play-by-play action during the broadcasts while Fran Harris returns for her second season to provide color commentary. Terry Stembridge, Jr. will fill in for Monaco to call the games on the Silver Stars' radio broadcasts
