
New York Liberty Announce 2004 Roster

(NEW YORK, May 19, 2004) - The New York Liberty announced today its 2004 WNBA roster. The roster includes returning veterans, first round draft pick Shameka Christon and offseason acquisition Detrina White along with dispersal draft selection Ann Wauters, who is expected to report in early June.
The 2004 regular season is set to open on the road against the Indiana Fever on May 21st followed by the 2004 home opener on Sunday, May 23rd against Sheryl Swoopes and the Houston Comets. The home opener will be broadcast live on MSG Network.
Due to the Republican National Convention, to be held at Madison Square Garden, the New York Liberty will play a total of six games at the historic Radio City Music Hall. The team will play ten games at The Garden before moving into Radio City on Saturday, July 24th.

The New York Liberty basketball team, in its eighth year of operation with the 2004 season, is part of the Madison Square Garden, L.P.
