HARTFORD, Conn. - Andrew Ebbett tallied two goals and reached a career mark in the process as the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins began a six-game road stretch with a 4-1 victory over the Hartford Wolf Pack on Sunday afternoon at XL Center.

The Penguins went ahead, 1-0, at 5:48 of the first period on a milestone goal for two of the team's veterans. Stationed on the near side of the Hartford zone, Scott Wilson flipped a pass into the slot for a streaking Ebbett. The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton center beat his man to the puck before sliding a backhander through the pads of Hartford netminder Yann Danis for his 100th goal in the AHL. Collecting the second assist, Tom Kostopoulos also recorded the 400th point of his AHL career.

Hartford would answer back with 1:41 remaining until the first intermission when Justin Vaive freed himself up at the center blueline and threw a wrist shot in on net that Nick Tarnasky tipped past Jeff Zatkoff.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton controlled much of the second, owning a 12-2 shot advantage, and was able to go on top once again, 2-1, at 6:55 of the frame. Matia Marcantuoni caught up to a loose puck in the far corner of the Wolf Pack zone and whipped a pass to the front the of the crease, where Pierre-Luc Letourneau-Leblond was in position to knock home his first goal of the year.

Ebbett and Kostopoulos combined again to find the back of the net just 10 seconds after the second intermission and give the Penguins the 3-1 lead. Kostopoulos took the faceoff at the beginning of the third period and found Ebbett alone in between the hashmarks, where the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton center fired in his 12th of the season.

Carter Rowney completed the scoring with a power play goal with 3:09 left in regulation.

Zatkoff raised his record to 13-10-4 on the season with 22 saves on 23 shots. Danis stopped 24-of-28 in a losing effort for Harford.

With the win, the Penguins stretched their season-long point streak to eight games (6-0-1-1). Conor Sheary also picked up an assist in the contest to extend his point streak to eight games (3G-7A).
