Chicago, Ill. - The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that they recalled forward Joakim Nordstrom and goaltender Scott Darling from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League and reassigned forward Ryan Hartman and goaltender Antti Raanta to Rockford.
Nordstrom, 22, has recorded two assists in 24 games with Chicago this season. The Stockholm, Sweden, native has tallied 16 points (9G, 7A) in 23 games with Rockford this year; he collected his first career hat trick and added an assist on Dec. 13 at Lake Erie. Nordstrom was the team's third-round selection (90th overall) in the 2010 National Hockey League Draft.
Darling, 26, has appeared in seven games with Chicago, posting a 5-2-0 record, .937 save percentage and 1.97 goals-against average. The Lemont, Ill., native made his National Hockey League debut with the Blackhawks on Oct. 26 vs. Ottawa, turning aside 31 of 32 shots on goal for his first career win. He has a 14-8-2 record, including two shutouts, a .927 save percentage and 2.20 GAA in 26 games with Rockford this season.
Hartman, 20, has appeared in five games with Chicago this season. He made his National Hockey League debut with the Blackhawks on Feb. 13 vs. New Jersey, tallying three shots on goal and two hits. The West Dundee, Ill., native, has 18 points (8G, 10A) in 47 games with Rockford this season. Hartman was Chicago's first-round pick (30th overall) in the 2013 National Hockey League Draft.
Raanta, 25, has posted a 7-4-1 record, including one shutout, a .936 save percentage and 1.89 goals-against average in 14 games for the Blackhawks this season. The Rauma, Finland, native won his lone start with Rockford this season on Nov. 16 against Texas.
