
Mike Moore Bobblehead Doll Giveaway On Saturday As Sharks Host High School Hockey Doubleheader

WORCESTER - Worcester Sharks President and CEO Michael T. Lehr announced today that the Worcester Sharks will be hosting their first of three High School Hockey doubleheaders at the DCU Center presented by the Massachusetts Army National Guard on Saturday, January 9th before the Sharks host the Providence Bruins at 7:05p.m.
The first 3,000 fans will receive a Mike Moore bobblehead doll compliments of WTAG. The bobblehead doll is wearing a special W6 Tribute jersey.
The Shrewsbury Colonials and the Marlborough Panthers varsity boys' hockey teams will battle at 4:00p.m. in the 1st Annual High School Hockey Showdown before the Sharks host the Providence Bruins at 7:05p.m. Doors will open at 1:30p.m before the junior varsity game at 2:00p.m.
"The Worcester Sharks are proud to showcase two of the elite schools in the Massachusetts area," said Lehr. "The 1st Annual High School Hockey Showdown will have all the bells and whistles of a regular Sharks game. We expect a large turnout for the game and look forward to some great high school hockey action."
Tickets are just $15 in advance when purchased through the Shrewsbury and Marlborough school systems or by visiting www.SharksAHL.com. Portions of the advanced ticket sales will be given back to the school systems. One ticket will allow entry into all three games.
The Shrewsbury Colonials won the State Championship last year and are 4-1-1 this season while the Marlborough Panthers hold a 4-2-1 record.
Saturday's high school games are the first of three high school hockey doubleheaders at the DCU Center this season!
On Saturday, January 16th, the Auburn Rockets and the Hudson Hawks clash before the Sharks host the Manchester Monarchs on Youth Sports Night. A New England Revolution player, the Revolution's mascot Slyde, and Wally the Green Monster will join in on the fun!
On Saturday, February 6th, the St. John's Pioneers and the St. Peter-Marian Guardians will square off before the Sharks host the Providence Bruins at 7:05p.m. Big "Baby" Davis from the Boston Celtics will be on hand to sign autographs.

All three high school hockey doubleheaders are presented by the Massachusetts Army National Guard. One ticket will allow you entry into the high school hockey game and the Sharks game.
