Midwest Road Trip, Then Home Game Sunday For Bulldogs This Week

The Hamilton Bulldogs (12-12-0-3) head out on a road trip to the midwest United States for games in Chicago, Illinois and Des Moines, Iowa this week, then return home for a Sunday afternoon tilt at Copps Coliseum as the 'Dogs look to rebound from two home losses last weekend.

On Wednesday, December 18th, the Bulldogs will be in Chicago for an 11:00 a.m. CT (12:00 p.m. ET) match up with the Chicago Wolves (AHL affiliate of the St. Louis Blues) at Allstate Arena in the first of two meetings this season.

On Friday, December 20th, Hamilton will travel to Des Moines, Iowa to take on the Iowa Wild (AHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild) at 7:05 p.m. CT (8:05 p.m. ET) at Wells Fargo Arena in the first of two meetings this season.

On Sunday, December 22nd, the 'Dogs return home to Copps Coliseum for a 3:00 p.m. start against the Abbotsford Heat (AHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames) in the second of eight meetings this season. Abbotsford topped Hamilton 3-2 in a shootout in their only meeting so far this season on November 2nd in Hamilton.

BULLDOGS TO HONOUR ALL DECEMBER 14TH TICKETS FOR DECEMBER 22ND GAME

The Hamilton Bulldogs announced on Saturday, December 14th that due to inclement weather, all tickets for that night's game versus the St. John's IceCaps can be exchanged for tickets to the 'Dogs next home game on Sunday, December 22nd at 3:00 p.m. when the Abbotsford Heat (AHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames) comes to town.

Any tickets for the December 14th game only, used or unused, can be exchanged for a ticket of equal value at the Copps Coliseum FirstOntario Box Office during regular business hours any time before next Sunday's game. Fans are encouraged to exchange their tickets before Sunday, though redemptions will be granted at any time up to and including game day on Sunday, December 22nd. Redemptions will be based on availability. Tickets have no cash value.

BULLDOGS 'TOY TOSS' COLLECTS NEARLY 3,000 TOYS

The Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Club's annual Toy Toss Night on Friday, December 13th collected nearly 3,000 toys for local underprivileged children. The toys will be donated to CHML/Y108/953 Fresh FM Children's Fund on Tuesday, December 17th at 1:00 p.m. at Corus Entertainment, 875 Main Street West, Hamilton.

LED 360 POWER RING TO BE INSTALLED AT COPPS COLISEUM

The Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Club and Global Spectrum, facility manager of Copps Coliseum, have announced that installation of a state-of-the-art LED 360 Power Ring will begin Monday, December 16th at Copps Coliseum. The installation is scheduled to be completed for public reveal at the Bulldogs game versus the Abbotsford Heat (AHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames) on Sunday, December 22nd at 3:00 p.m.

The new LED 360 Power Ring will enhance the fan experience, as well as encourage fan interaction within the game. The Power Ring upgrades the facility to world-class standards. The 360-degree digital signage measures about 876 feet in circumference and is approximately two feet high.

The Power Ring was obtained from and installed by Daktronics, an industry leader in designing and manufacturing electronic scoreboards. With tens of thousands of systems installed around the world, Daktronics is recognized as the leading designer and manufacturer of LED message displays worldwide.

BULLDOGS' MY FAVOURITE THINGS BASKET RAFFLE

The Bulldogs Foundation is now running its annual My Favourite Things basket raffle. Each basket is themed with the Bulldogs players' favourite things. Tickets are available at the Foundation Booth at home games for $2 each, three for $5 or 15 for $20, with all proceeds to be donated to Children's Aid Society. The draws will take place at the game on Friday, December 27th.

HAMILTON BULLDOGS HOCKEY HOUR

Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Hour is an interactive one-hour radio show on AM 900 CHML co-hosted by Hamilton Bulldogs Play-By-Play Announcer Derek Wills and Colour Commentator Al Craig. It consists of segments such as week-in-reviews, week-in-previews and live interviews with Hamilton Bulldogs coaches and players. During each show, fans have an opportunity to ask guests questions on the air, get autographs and win prizes. The show is hosted at Frank and Teressa's Anchor Bar, located at 2 King Street West inside Jackson Square in Hamilton.
