
Canadiens Reassign Mayer to Geneve-Servette for Spengler Cup

MONTREAL, QUEBEC - Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today the Canadiens have reassigned goaltender Robert Mayer from the Bulldogs to Geneve-Servette HC of the Swiss National League A for the duration of the Spengler Cup and have also recalled goaltender Mike Condon to the Bulldogs from the ECHL's Wheeling Nailers.
In 11 games with Hamilton this season, Mayer has a record of 3-6-2 with a 3.05 goals-against average and .896 save percentage. In 38 regular season games with Hamilton last season, the 24-year-old goaltender had a record of 16-17-3 with a 2.93 goals-against average and .908 save percentage. The Havirov, Czech Republic native was originally signed by the Montreal Canadiens as a free agent on September 25th, 2008.
In 18 games with Wheeling this season, Condon has a record of 10-4-4 with a 2.33 goals-against average, .925 save percentage and one shutout. The 23-year-old spent last season with the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Princeton University Tigers, the ECHL's Ontario Reign and the American Hockey League's Houston Aeros. In 24 regular season games with Princeton, the Holliston, Massachusetts native had a record of 8-11-4 with a 2.48 goals-against average, .923 save percentage and two shutouts. In four regular season games with Ontario, the 6'3", 195-pound goaltender posted a record of 3-1-0 with a 1.48 goals-against average, .943 save percentage and one shutout. In five regular season games with Houston, he had a record of 3-0-0 with a 2.39 goals-against average and .919 save percentage. Condon was signed by the Montreal Canadiens as a free agent on May 8th, 2013.
Hamilton's next game is scheduled for Wednesday, December 18th, when they will travel to Chicago, Illinois to take on the Chicago Wolves (AHL Affiliate of the St. Louis Blues) at 12:00 p.m. The 'Dogs return to Copps Coliseum on Sunday, December 22nd, when they will host the Abbotsford Heat (AHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames) at 3:00 p.m.
