Crunch Sign Jon DiSalvatore to AHL Deal

Syracuse, NY - The Syracuse Crunch have signed veteran winger Jon DiSalvatore to a one-year AHL contract, Crunch General Manager Julien BriseBois announced today.

DiSalvatore, 32, has appeared in 22 games for the Munich EHC of the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) this season, recording 17 points (6g, 11a). The Bangor, Maine native began playing in the AHL in the 2003-04 season totaling 746 regular season games. DiSalvatore has recorded 540 points (224g, 316a) while playing for Cleveland, Worcester, Peoria, San Antonio, Lowell, Houston and Hershey. The 6-foot-1, 196-lb. winger has played in 51 Calder Cup playoff games, producing 19 points (12g, 7a) for Cleveland, Peoria, San Antonio, Houston and Hershey.

DiSalvatore totaled 142 points (59g, 83a) during a four-year career with the Providence College Friars. He was drafted in the fourth round, 104th overall, by the San Jose Sharks in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.
