Hartford Wolf Pack News Release
The Wolf Pack (9-14-0-3, 21 pts.) gained one point out of a pair of Northeast Division games this past weekend, snapping a string of five straight regulation losses with a 3-2 shootout defeat to Adirondack at home Friday, and then falling 5-2 to the Albany Devils in Albany on Saturday. J.T. Miller returned to the AHL with a goal and an assist in Friday's game and scored again Saturday, and Danny Kristo had an assist in Friday's game and upped his team-leading goal total to 11 with a power-play goal Saturday.

This week:
The Wolf Pack play their last two games before Christmas this coming weekend, both at home. The Bridgeport Sound Tigers visit the XL Center this Friday night, with the first 3,000 fans receiving a free Wolf Pack gym bag from the Hartford Courant. Then Saturday night's home game features the Wolf Pack's Liberty Honda Teddy Bear Toss, benefitting the Joy of Sharing and Toys for Tots, as the Springfield Falcons invade the XL Center. Both games face off at 7:00 PM.
Friday, December 20 vs. the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at the XL Center, 7:00 PM
- The first 3,000 fans into this game will take home a Wolf Pack gym bag, courtesy of the Hartford Courant.
- At this and all Friday-night Wolf Pack home games this year, fans can enjoy $1 hot dogs and $2 beers at the XL Center through the start of the second period, presented by Marc's Appliance Warehouse, located at 75 Prospect Ave., Hartford, CT.
- "Hawk's Nest" returns to the XL Center's Comcast Coliseum Club for this game, with Bob "Hawk" Crawford, the play-by-play voice of the Wolf Pack, chatting with UConn head men's hockey coach Mike Cavanaugh, from 6:00-6:20 PM. Questions and comments will be welcomed from the patrons enjoying the Comcast Coliseum Club's wide array of dining and beverage options. The Comcast Coliseum Club restaurant and bar area is open two hours prior to every Wolf Pack home game, to everyone holding a ticket to the game.
- The fourth-place Sound Tigers (10-13-1-3, 24 pts.) are three points ahead of the Wolf Pack in the Northeast Division. Bridgeport has lost three of its last four games, after a 3-1 defeat in Manchester on Sunday.
- The Pack won the first two games of the year between themselves and the Sound Tigers, but lost the last meeting, 3-2 in Bridgeport November 29. The Wolf Pack took their only previous home game in the season series, winning 5-3 October 30.
- With rookie sensation Ryan Strome, who leads the AHL in points and assists with 9-24-33 in 23 games, on recall to the parent New York Islanders, fellow first-year pro Anders Lee is the top scorer on the Bridgeport roster. Lee is tied for fifth in the AHL in rookie scoring, with 10-11-21 in 27 games.

Saturday, December 21 vs. the Springfield Falcons at the XL Center, 7:00 PM
- Fans are encouraged to bring new soft toys to this game, to be flung on to the ice when the Wolf Pack score their first goal of the game, in the Pack's Liberty Honda "Teddy Bear Toss", benefitting the Joy of Sharing and Toys for Tots. - The Falcons sit atop the Northeast Division with a record of 18-4-1-2 for 39 points, after taking three out of a possible four points (1-0-0-1) in a two-game trip to Norfolk this past weekend. Springfield has at least a point in 13 of its last 14 games (11-1-1-1). - With both of the Falcons' top two goaltenders, Mike McKenna and Jeremy Smith, on recall to parent-club Columbus, Mike Clemente played both of Springfield's games down in Norfolk, allowing a total of six goals on 56 shots. - The Wolf Pack are 0-4-0-1 in five battles on the year with their I-91 rivals, with four of those games having been played in Springfield. The Falcons took a 4-2 decision over the Pack in their only previous visit to Hartford, December 8.
