Micka arrives from Edmonton

GREENVILLE, SC â The Greenville Grrrowl of the ECHL, proud affiliates of the Chicago Blackhawks and Edmonton Oilers, have announced that TOMAS MICKA (left wing) has arrived in Greenville and will suit up (#28) this weekend as the Grrrowl begin a four-game home stand at the BI-LO Center. Micka was assigned to the Grrrowl in October, but had to clear several steps with immigration before coming to the US. In another transaction, JOEY MARTIN (defense) has been placed on the 7-day injured-reserve list after suffering an injury at practice this week.
MICKA (6-3, 190lbs., left wing) played in 67 games with the Columbus Cottonmouths (ECHL) last season, posting 32 points (17G, 15A) and 52 penalty minutes. Micka played on the same team with current Grrrowl players Colin Pepperall (forward), JF Plourde (forward), and Mike Morrison (goalie). Micka was selected by the Edmonton Oilers in the 8th round (#245) of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
The Grrrowl will be in action at home for four straight games, beginning on this Saturday night at 7:05pm against the Charlotte Checkers.
