LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Long Beach Ice Dogs (5-2-0) won their second straight game, coming away with a 2-1 victory over the Victoria Salmon Kings (2-4-0). The win marked the second time this season the Ice Dogs have won back-to-back games.

The Ice Dogs looked as though they would win big, leading 2-0 just 12:45 into the game. Evan Cheverie got the first goal for Long Beach, assisted by Steeve Villeneuve and Cory Urquhart. Just over three minutes later, Chris Kenady scored on the power play with help form Christian Larrivee and Marco Rosa.

Goaltender Olivier Michaud made sure two goals is all the Ice Dogs would need, yielding only one goal late in the second period to Ryan Finnerty, that was scored on the power play. The win improved Michaud's record to 1-1-0. Jason Stone took the loss for Victoria.

The Ice Dogs play again on Friday, November 12, when NHL All-Star Scott Gomez and the Alaska Aces come to town. Great seats are still available in all sections. For more information call (562) ICE DOGS or visit www.icedogs.com.
