Long Beach, CA – The Long Beach Ice Dogs scored two early goals on Salmon Kings netminder Jason Stone, making his first start in goal for Victoria, then held on tight to a 2-1 victory. Stone stopped 24 of 25 shots in his debut.

The Ice Dogs stormed out early on goals by Evan Chevrie and Chris Kenady and let 2-0 at the 12:45 mark of the 1st period. The lone Salmon King goal was scored on the power play by Ryan Finnerty, his 4th of the campaign, at 16:22 of the second period.
