
Memphis hands Sacramento fourth consecutive loss

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Sacramento was shut out for the fifth time this season in a 9-0 loss to the Memphis Redbirds before 12,681 fans at Raley Field on Saturday night. Bryan Anderson gave Memphis an early season with a solo home run in the fourth inning, and the Redbirds tacked on two runs in the seventh and sixth in the ninth. Sacramento lead-off man Corey Wimberly had two hits and has now reached base in 19 consecutive games. The left fielder also stole his Pacific Coast League-leading 19th base of the year. Sacramento has lost the last four games by a combined score of 43-7.
