New Orleans Baby Cakes News Release
The Tacoma Rainiers hammered three home runs and defeated the Zephyrs for the third consecutive game defeating New Orleans 7-3 on Saturday night. The Rainiers needed late rallies to win the first two games of the series. Saturday Tacoma jumped to a 5-0 lead and held on to win. The starter Luke French pitched 6.2 innings allowed three runs and earned the win. Z's starter Hunter Jones worked three innings and took the loss. Tacoma made 5 errors in the game to help get the Z's some base runners, but New Orleans added just four hits I the loss. The Z's were led by Neil Wilson two doubles. .
Game Notes- For the first time in the 12 year history between the two clubs, The Rainiers have won the season series.
Coming Up: The Zephyrs and Rainiers meet in the final game of the series on Sunday at 1:30. New Orleans will start RH Brian Lawrence (3-3, 3.79) against RH Steven Shell (2-1, 2.00). RADIO: 106.1 FM WMTI.
