TONIGHT'S GAMES
Round Rock continues its third home stand of the season Saturday, hosting the Reno Aces (Arizona Diamondbacks) for the third game of a four-game series. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. CDT at The Dell Diamond. This series is the lone scheduled meeting between the two clubs this season. The Aces won three of four games in last year's series at Reno. This is Reno's first-ever series at The Dell Diamond; the Diamondback's previous Triple-A Affiliate, the Tucson Sidewinders, split a four-game series in Round Rock in 2008. The Express and Aces split the first two games of this year's series; Round Rock won the opener 9-4, and Reno held off a ninth-inning Express rally for an 8-7 win last night. Round Rock is 6-4 in its last 10 games, alternating between win and loss over the last eight games. Reno also is 4-6 in its last 10 games, snapping a three-game losing streak last night.
EXPRESS ON THE AIR
Tonight's game will be broadcast live on "The Horn" 104.9 FM ESPN Austin. Pregame starts at 15 minutes prior to first pitch with veteran Express play-by-play man Mike Capps on the call. Jason Bourgeois ranks third in the PCL in batting average (.350), fifth in on base percentage (.418) and fourth stolen bases (13). He currently is riding a 10-game hitting streak, the longest by an Express player this year; he is 21-for-48 (.438) during the streak with five multiple-hit outings and four games of three-plus hits in the streak. ... Jason Castro has reached safely in 30 of 33 games played, including each of the last 13 games. He has hit safely in 11 of the last 12 games, going 15-for-45 (.333) in that time. Castro is 0-for-4 with the bases loaded, but he has drawn three bases-loaded walks. ... Roy Corcoran's RBI single in the seventh inning Thursday against Reno was the first RBI of his career and fourth career hit. He is riding a two-game hitting streak. ... Casey Daigle has recorded a save in four consecutive opportunities after failing to convert his first two chances of the season. Five of the six runs he has allowed this season came in two outings, both blown saves. Daigle has not allowed an earned run in seven straight appearances. ... Collin DeLome's homer Thursday night against Reno was his first since a two-homer game April 18, snapping a 24-game, 32-day dry spell. ... Chris Johnson has hit safely in six consecutive at bats and reached safely in nine consecutive plate appareances, both team-best streaks for the season. He has hit safely in nine of 10 games with the Express, delivering a sacrifice fly in the lone hitless game. He has hit safely in six straight games, going 13-for-23 (.565) in that time. He is 7-for-14 (.500) with runners in scoring position, producing two home runs, two doubles and 12 RBI in that situation. ... Matt Kata is riding a nine-game hitting streak (.488, 20-for-41), tied for the second-longest this year by an Express player. He has multiple hits in eight of his last nine games; he had multiple hits in the first five games of that span, the longest such streak by an Express player this season. Kata is hitting .407 (46-for-113) since snapping out of a 1-for-35 funk April 18, raising his average 221 points in that time. Kata is 7-for-13 (.538) with runners in scoring position since May 10. ... Drew Locke has hit safely in five of six starts with homers in two in the last four games. ... Yordany Ramirez snapped an 18-game, 6-for-47 (.128) skew in Colorado Springs series finale, going 2-for-5 with a double and four RBI. It was his first multiple-hit game since April 19. He is hitless in his last eight pinch-hit appearances after starting the year 2-for-2 as a pinch hitter. ... Chris Shelton leads the Express and ranks fifth in the PCL with eight home runs, four of which have been solo shots and four of which have come in the last nine games. He leads the PCL with seven homers this month. Shelton has gone consecutive starts without a hit only once this season (April 21-22), recording a hit in a team-best 30 games. He leads the Express in hits (16) and RBI (25) with runners in scoring position. ... Andy Van Hekken has allowed 11 walks against eight strikeouts in his last three starts after posting a 26-to-5 strikeout-to-walk ratio in his first five starts. ... Wesley Wright has allowed three or fewer earned runs in seven of eight starts, allowing one earned run four times.
BATS STAY HOT
Round Rock pounded 13 hits in Friday night's game, its eighth consecutive game with at least 10 hits. The Express have scored 87 runs in their last 10 games, the highest-scoring 10-game stretch since Round Rock joined Triple A (2005); in fact, the Express have not scored more than 80 runs in any 13-game stretch since 2005. Round Rock 12-8 in May after going 6-17 in April. While the staff ERA has taken a hit the last six games (9.27 ERA; 46 ER, 44.2 IP), the bats got even hotter as the Express are hitting .350 (82-for-234) with 11 home runs and 62 runs scored in the six-game stretch. Round Rock posted a .320 average on its recent eight-game road trip with 11 home runs, 71 runs scored and 22 doubles.
EXPRESS AMONG ATTENDANCE LEADERS
Through games of May 20, Round Rock ranks second in the Pacific Coast League in average attendance. A total of 135,476 fans have passed through the turnstiles at The Dell Diamond, a 17-date average of 7,969. Sacramento leads the PCL with an 8,274 per-game average. Round Rock ranks fourth in Triple-A and fifth in Minor League Baseball. Interestingly, none of the top five teams in Minor League Baseball attendance, each of which averages at least 7,900 per game, have winning records.

FIVE THE MAGIC NUMBER FOR EXPRESS
Round Rock is 16-5 this season when scoring at least five runs and 2-18 when scoring fewer than five runs. Three of the five losses came in the last week: two at Colorado Springs (10-6, 11-10) and last night against Reno (8-7). The two victories when scoring fewer than five runs came April 20 against Omaha (1-0 in 10 innings) and May 5 against Nashville (2-1).

Round Rock continues its third home stand of the season with a four-game series against the Las Vegas 51s (Toronto Blue Jays). The series runs Monday through Thursday of next week with a 7:05 p.m. CDT first pitch each night.
