Bakersfield Condors News Release

Bakersfield, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors are proud to announce details for the All-Star Fan Fest which will serve as the official commencement event for the All-Star Classic Classic, Tuesday, Jan. 25 at the Bakersfield Marriott at the Convention Center. The event, presented by Bank of the Sierra, runs from 6 - 9 p.m. in the ballroom at the Marriott, adjacent to Rabobank Arena. The following night, the Condors will take on the ECHL All-Stars at 7 p.m.

This is the fans' chance to meet and rub elbows with the All-Stars - get autographs, get photos and meet the players. The Condors have chosen a "Taste of Bakersfield" theme for the event, and will feature seven area restaurants to serve up local cuisine, dinner, dessert and drinks throughout the night.

Representing the Basque food that Bakersfield is famous for is Woolgrowers. Goose Loonies has Greek food covered. Mexican food is a staple of any Bakersfield diet, and nobody is better to handle that than Mauricio's. Condorstown loves their sushi and Italian food as well, so Akira's and Caesar's Italian Deli are both on board. Plus, Cold Stone Creamery will be there serving up their three Condors-themed flavors you can't find anywhere else, and Red Robin will be serving up their famous Freckled Lemonade.

The Stanley Cup and the Patrick J. Kelly Cup will both be on display at the Fan Fest, plus the Inflatable Slap Shot booth will be there for younger fans to receive lessons on scoring from the All-Stars as well. For $10, fans will get a Fan Fest package that includes an All-Star hat, a rally towel, a poster featuring the All-Stars (designed for getting autographs) and vouchers for each of the food vendors attending the event. Bank of the Sierra will have their "Cash Cube" at the event as well for a chance to win some dough!

"We tried to cover all the major cuisine bases of Condorstown, both for the locals to enjoy and for the out-of-towners to get a taste of our culture," said Condors President Matthew Riley. "Combine the chance to meet the All-Stars with representing our city to all the folks here in town for the event and also fill your belly with great local flavors, and you basically have a taste-bud hat trick."
