Reading Royals News Release

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that forward Tyler Murovich ["MER oh vitch"] has been assigned to the Royals from the Springfield Falcons of the AHL. In a separate transaction, forward Ryan Cruthers has been loaned by the Royals to the Manitoba Moose of the AHL. In other transactions completed today, the Royals added goaltender Alex Sincavage as an Emergency Back-up Goaltender and later released him from that role.

This season, Murovich (5'9/185) (21), a first year pro who hails from Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania, has scored two goals and assisted on two others (four points) in twenty-three games with Springfield. Last year, Murovich racked up fifty-two points (24g-28a) in fifty-four games for the Saginaw Spirit of the Ontario Hockey League, where he received the team's leadership and community service awards, as well as being recognized as the fans' favorite player. After the conclusion of the OHL season last year, Murovich joined the Syracuse Crunch of the AHL, where he racked up six points (2g-4a) in five games. In 189 total games in the OHL, Murovich, who served as the Spirit's team captain for two seasons, registered 153 total points (70g-83a). Cruthers, a third year pro from Farmingdale, New York, has registered twenty-eight points (13g-15a) and twenty-six penalty minutes in twenty-eight games with the Royals this season. This is his second opportunity to play in the AHL this year. In mid-December, he played one game for the Lake Erie Monsters without registering any points or penalty minutes. Cruthers has played eighteen games in the AHL during his career. Today marked the second time this season that Sincavage has served as the Royals EBG.
