Motor City Mechanics News Release
The Motor City Mechanics are hosting a celebration of the Red White and Blue this Saturday Night, November 12th at the Garage when we play the Missouri River Otters at 7:30. In honor of Veterans Day, Saturday is being promoted as a "Rally Around Our Veterans" hockey game with the first 2000 fans receiving free Rally Towels courtesy of Cadillac Memorial Gardens East Cemetery and TCF Bank. The Mechanics will be wearing special Red, White and Blue Jerseys to be auctioned off after the game to benefit the Michigan Veterans Foundation. There will also be live pregame and post game music provided by the band Backhand.
Representatives from various veterans organizations and active duty military will be on hand to help the Mechanics celebrate and remember our Veterans. A special pre-game on ice ceremony will take place at 7:30pm. The National Anthem will be performed by Senior Airman James Donaldson, a member of the 127th Wing, Michigan Air National Guard, Selfridge. All Military personnel with ID may purchase tickets to the game for half price. Tickets are on sale at the Garage box office (34400 Utica Road, Fraser,) and Ticketmaster. For more information call the Mechanics at 866-997-PUCK! I have attached a jpeg of the red white and blue jersey design. It is part of a porta panel donated by our good friends at Viacom Outdoor Advertising. I have also attached a one pager on the Michigan Veterans Foundation. Mechanics in the Community
