The IceHogs are now a club best 8-0-0 with three games on the schedule for Week 4 including a pair of home contests Friday (Flint) and Sunday (Missouri), and a road showdown with the Fort Wayne Komets on Saturday.

Saturday, November 5: Rockford 3 at Missouri 1: A Western Division match-up turned ugly on Saturday night, as the Rockford IceHogs topped the Missouri River Otters 3-1 at the Family Arena with a combined 157 penalty minutes. The IceHogs extended their club best winning streak to 8 games and defenseman Evgueni Nourislamov netted his first two goals of the campaign to help lead the Hogs to the win. Nourislamov put Rockford on the board at 6:22 of the opening frame when he blew his first marker of the year past Otters goalie Kevin Reiter. At 9:49, Hogs winger Greg Barber was set up perfectly by linemates Jason Notermann and Steve Yetman on the power play to give Rockford the 2-0 advantage. The score would remain that way until the third period when Missouri cut into the lead. Defenseman Tim O'Connell slipped in the Otters only goal of the night past Michel Robinson at 3:47 on the power play to make it a one-goal game. Nourislamov, however, would seal the game for Rockford with an empty net goal at 18:49. The Hogs set a club record with 13 power play opportunities while the Otters had nine. The game ended with a ruckus in the Rockford zone that featured 74 PIMs combined by the two teams. Robinson was solid once again for Rockford making 26 saves while Retier tunred away 25 shots in the loss.
